The Land for our food @ Feeding Our World – 3 march 2017

The first event of our film festival “Festival delle Terre Film Festival: Feeding Our World” is coming up!

03/03/2017 – Llandinam Building Room B22, 6:30 pm

Come and join us for the screening of “The Land for our food” by Julio Molina (Italy-United Kingdom-France-Romania-Spain, 2015, 35’).

For ecological farmers across Europe, getting access to land has proved a barrier to improving our food system. This 34min road movie follows Gavin Bridger after his community supported farm has been ordered to leave their land (in the UK). Realising that finding alternative land is a serious challenge, Gavin sets out on a journey across Europe to meet farmers and organisations who are addressing land issues.

The film will be introduced by Erica Romano, artistic director of the “Festival delle Terre – International Audio-visual Award of Biodiversity” in Rome (Italy), and after the discussion will be animated by our guests from different organisations and University Departments.

Refreshments will be provided by the organisation “Aber Food Surplus” and the AU Organic Food Coop Society.
